Thomas C. Paxton, 83, Veterans Home
Lafayette and formerly of Crawfordsville, died
10:25 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Mr. Paxton worked at Veath & Pinkerston
International Harvester (later Burkett International
Harvester) and the Montgomery County
Highway Department.
He attended Huntertown High School. He
served in the U.S. Navy during
World War II.
He was born April 17, 1925 in
Montgomery County to Claude
and Pauline Haserodt Paxton.
Survivors include son Terry Paxton, Crawfordsville; daughter James (Dorothy) Emerson of Crawfordsville;
brother Richard Paxton, Indiana Veterans
Home, Lafayette, Alva Paxton, Newtown,
and Joe Paxton, Winchester; sisters
Margie Cahoon, Columbia, N.C., and Mary
Jane Cale, Mace; several grandchildren; and
several great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen. Interment will be in the
Indiana Veterans Home Cemetery at a later date.
