Todd Allen Crosby, 62, Roachdale, passed away peacefully Monday, April 20, 2026. Todd was born on January 22, 1964 in Lafayette, IN to parents Joseph and Susan (Ray) Crosby. Todd’s early years were marked by a remarkable blend of talent and determination. At North Putnam High School, he set a school record in freestyle swimming and was celebrated for his acting, earning the Best Actor award for standout performances in “10 Little Indians “ and “Lil Abner.” During this time, Todd also achieved the distinguished Eagle Scout award, reflecting his commitment to excellence and service.
Todd’s academic path led him to transfer to Muncie Burris Lab School for his senior year, where he seized the opportunity to attend Ball State University concurrently. His dedication paid off with a degree in computer science in 1984, laying the foundation for a successful professional life.
Todd retired from GTE Data Research Center in Tampa, Florida in 1995. He then embarked on a new adventure in Escondido, California, managing a farm with heartfelt dedication. When his grandparents’ health declined, Todd demonstrated deep compassion by returning to Indiana to care for them during their final years.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, achievement and devotion. Todd is survived by his parents, Susan and Joseph Crosby, his brother Thomas (Shannon) Crosby of Zionsville, Indiana and his beloved nephew and nieces; Alexander, Allison, Kate Van Hyfte and Ellen Van Hyfte. In addition, an aunt, Rebecca C. (Keith) Hartberg survives along with many cousins.
A Celebration of Life for Todd will be held 11:00 AM Monday April 27, 2026 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Pete Wilkinson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Friends of Turkey run and Shades State Parks, 8121 Park Pond Road, Marshall, IN 47859.
