Obituary
Vernece Yvonne Perkins, 80, of Crawfordsville passed away Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, at Ben Hur Health & Rehab.
Mrs. Perkins was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She enjoyed wood carving, stained glass, gardening, square dancing, cooking and painting.
She was born Jan. 14, 1935, at Wheeler, Ill., to Paul C. and Gertrude (Wilhelm) Burk. She married Jimmie L. Perkins. He survives.
Other survivors include sons, Rickey L. (Julia) Perkins and Bradley K. Perkins; sister Sharon (Winford) Washington; and two grandchildren, Christopher L. Perkins and Kyle M. Perkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Paul Burk Jr.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church, with Pastor Kelly Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery South. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
