Obituary
Violet R. Smith, a resident of Whitlock House, Crawfordsville died peacefully Monday Steptember 11, 2006 at St. Clare Medical Center.
She was born on March 6, 1917 in Missouri to Henry Dazey and Lou Ella Watts Dazey. She was the last surviving sibling of a family that included 16 brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker as well as being a member of Wingate Christian Church and American Legion Aux. She was married to Marion Smith for 68 years and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by three children, Gary (Shirley) Smith of Kokomo; Madonna Biggers (Bobby) of Glasgow, KY and Linda Wilson (Greg) of Crawfordsville. In addition, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home with Revs. Harold Keck and Dale Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
