Violet Hendricks Spore Vermilion of Crawfordsville
died at 10:45 p.m.Sunday in Lane House
Nursing Home.She was 79.
Mrs.Vermilion retired from RR Donnelley after
34 years working in the bindery area.Her memberships
included the Church of Living Waters and the
Donnelley Club.
She was born Oct. 21, 1930, at Crawfordsville,
to Alphonso and Lora Clark
Hendricks.She married Arnold
Lee "Sam" Spore on Feb. 28,
1947.They divorced. She later
married Wendell S.Vermilion
on Jan. 10, 1966. He died
Jan. 11, 2000.
Survivors include: a daughter
Karolyn (John) Rentschler,
Waynetown; a son, Dale W. Spore, Syracuse;
four stepsons; a stepdaughter; nine grandchildren;
and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Golda
Boze; half brothers, Leroy, Paul, Darrell and Harold
McDonald and Franklin Ruffner; a grandson Calvin
Michel Barnes; and twin great-grandsons, Jacob
and Joshua Rogers.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m.
Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, 107 N.
Grant Ave., with the Rev. Clarence Lee officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.Friends may call
from 9-11 a.m.Wednesday.
