Virginia Axsom, 83, of Crawfordsville, died
3:30 p.m.Wednesday at Hickory Creek Nursing
Home.
She was born Feb. 22, 1925 in Veedersburg,
the daughter of Leslie Keller and Alpha (Helms)
Keller. She married Gilbert Axsom, Dec. 31, 1945.
He preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the V.F.W. Women's
Auxiliary.
Survivors include daughters Leatha Doyle of
Crawfordsville, Marcia Lawhorn of Reno, Nev., and
Janet Miller, of Fowler; a son, Gilbert Axsom, of
Petersburg; a sister, Louise Williams, of Dunellon,
Fla.; 19 grandchildren; and several great-grandchidren
and great great-grandchildren.Several nieces
and nephews also survive.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Linda
Bement, and a sister, Myerrah Rusk.
Services are 3 p.m. Saturday at Hunt and Son
Funeral Home, with Rev. Roger Ward officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery. Visitation
is 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
