Walter Lee Redmon, Jr., 59, Crawfordsville, passed away 1:45 PM Wednesday at St. Clare Medical Center.
Mr. Redmon worked for R.R. Donnelly & Son's as a press technician. He served in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970, Reserves 1970-1972 as an electrician, from 1968-1969 in Udorn, Thailand, serving with the Red Horse Command. He was also a member of Friendship Baptist Church, V.F.W. #1434 and a 1966 Waynetown High School graduate.
He was born on May 19, 1947 in Crawfordsville to Walter Lee Redmon, Sr. and Mary H. Lowe Redmon. On December 27, 1972 he married Judy Lynn Stoddard at Crawfordsville and she survives.
Also surviving are his mother, a son, Jason Lee (Brandy) Redmon of Indianapolis, a daughter, Jamie Lynn (J.J.) Spencer of Rawlins, WY., a brother, James H. (Vicky) Redmon of Mill Hall, PA, sisters, Connie (Steve) Stemick of Westerville, OH, Sharon (David) Zimmerman of Wingate and Karon (Allen) Gooding of Kingman. In addition, five grandchildren, Taylor & Cody Spencer, Conner, Logan, and Shane Redmon survive, as well as several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday June 13th at Friendship Baptist Church, 1914 West US Highway 136, with Pastor Curtis Brouwer officiating. Burial will follow at Waynetwon Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Monday at the church.
