Wesley Ehrie, 85, of Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010.
Mr. Ehrie was born March 29, 1925 in Mellott. He is the son of John W. and Anna (Wakeland) Ehrie.
He married Audrey Swank on Sept. 21, 1946. She survives. He had previously worked for Kenney Space Center and had also worked as a union electrician, minister and as Montgomery County building inspector.
Survivors include his wife; son, Steven (companion Wanda Ramie) Ehrie of Punta Gorda Fla.; daughters, Marsha (Edward) Williams of Ozark, Ala., Rita (Darrel) Rader of Panama City, Fla., and Debra (Michael) Morris of Crawfordsville; sisters, Shirley (Charlie) Keaton, Martha (Sid) Shanks, Pat Dixon, Judy (Richard) Harshbarger, Norma Jean Kincaid and Rose Covault; brothers, Jack Ehrie and Billy (Molly) Ehrie; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial will be at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
Friends and family can pay their respects from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
