William "Rick" Dossett, 64, passed away Jan. 14, 2016 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health in Lafayette.
Born July 25, 1951 in Crawfordsville, to William L. Dossett, Jr. and Marilyn R. (Routh) Dossett. They preceded him in death.
He graduated from New Ross High School in 1969 and Purdue University in 1988.
He retired from Caterpillar in Lafayette in 2009 after 27 years of service in the Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Engineering Departments. He previously worked at Hi-Tek Lighting and Raybestos-Manhattan in Crawfordsville.
He married Sandra J. (Stoddard) Dossett in 1980 in Crawfordsville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sister, Denise (Andrew) Blacketer, brother, Phil (Laura) Dossett, as well as nieces; nephews; and a great- nieces and -nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016 at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Renick officiating. Burial will follow at New Ross Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or St. E. Hospice.
