William Richard Jones

William Richard Jones, 86, passed away Sept. 6, 2012.
He was born in Indianapolis, to William B. and Virginia L. (Applegate) Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Doris, son Ric, grandson Phil, and two sisters, Carole Hays of Oregon and Darlene Morgan of Lafayette.
He served in the South Pacific on a attack troop transport during World War II. He worked at RR Donnelleys 40 years, first as a proof-reader, then as a plate-reader. After retiring he became a used book dealer.
He volunteered at Friends of the Library for over 20 years. He was also an amateur paleontologist, and owned the Corey's Bluff fossil beds for a number of years.
