William Jonathan Melvin, 54 of Crawfordsville passed away Tuesday at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born June 19, 1958 in Crawfordsville to Max and Lois Wrightsman Melvin. Bill worked in food service at Wabash College.
Bill married Yvonne Caldwell June 11, 1994 in Crawfordsville, she survives.
He is also survived by his mother, Brothers Charles Melvin of Waynetown; Jim Melvin of Lafayette; Sisters Annie Thatcher of Crawfordsville; Sue Hunley of Crawfordsville; Kay Melvin of Crawfordsville; Betty Shofner of Crawfordsville and Jo Wann of Newtown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Maxine.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Everett Davenport officiating. Friends may call from 12-2 Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
