Obituary

William H. "Red" was born October 8, 1919 to William H. and Vanda L. Whitecotton Thompson in the Linden area. William "Red" was married to Margaret Hankins in the First United Methodist Church parsonage by Rev. Howard Taylor. "Red" served in the Army Engineers in the European Theater during World War II. "Red" retired from Ingress Plastene after 38 years. His was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret, Son Dennis, sisters; Evelyn, Pauline, Edna, and Betty Lou, Brothers; Kenneth, John, Max, Robert and Stanley. He is survived by his Granddaughter Stephanie Thompson, Daughter in law Sally Thompson, Half-brother Dean Thompson, half-sister Brenda Martin nephew Bill (Cora) Lewis, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Revs. Gary Lewis and Steve Wilke officiating. Friends may call from 12-2pm Tuesday. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery Grant Ave.
