David Hunt

David Hunt is a graduate of Vincennes University in 1990 and a 2006 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor's degree in management. He served our community as County Coroner for 16 years and was appointed to the Indiana Coroners Training Board by Gov. Mitch Daniels. David is also Commander of the Region Five Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team (DMORT) a federal-level disaster response team. He has responded to the American Eagle 4184 crash in Roselawn, IN, the 9/11 terrorist attacks and Hurricane Katrina, Rita & Ike in Louisiana, the Haiti Earthquake, and Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. He responded to NYC during the COVID-19 pandemic response, and along with many of his team members, received the COVID-19 Civilian Service medal from the National Disaster Medical System. David has also served as a reserve police officer for the City of Crawfordsville, as well as the past president of the Board of Aviation Commissioners for Crawfordsville. He also served on the Crawfordsville Fire Department Merit Board. David is married to Karin and they have two children, Holly and Kyle, as well as 4 grandchildren.
